Our Autumn honey is bottled and ready for pickup! Allergy sufferers rejoice! The fall honey is darker and thicker than our summer honey. This is due to the nectar gathered at this time is mostly from goldenrod and asters which are plentiful on the prairie in Valparaiso where all our hives are located. You'll get hints of butterscotch and caramel.
We only lightly strain our honey so it retains all the LOCAL pollen which helps hay fever allergy sufferers. Our honey is never heated so it retains all the vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals.
And since our hives are in the middle of a wildflower prairie, and nothing is ever added to them, the honey is organic as can "bee".
