Have you ever tried honey exactly the way the bees made it?
If you haven’t experienced fresh-cut comb honey yet, you are in for an incredible treat! Comb honey is the absolute purest form of raw honey—completely untouched, unheated, and unfiltered. The bees build the delicate beeswax comb, fill it with fresh nectar, and cap it right inside the hive. And the amazing part...each bite may taste different depending on the nectars the bees used to fill each cell!!
And yes, the wax is 100% edible! It gives the honey a satisfying, slightly chewy texture that you just can't get from a jar.
Wondering how to use it? Here are a few of our favorite ways:
On a charcuterie board: It is the ultimate centerpiece. Pair a chunk of comb with sharp cheddar, creamy brie, or goat cheese, and add some crackers for the perfect sweet-and-savory bite.
Over warm breads: Place a slice of comb on hot toast, fresh biscuits, or English muffins. The heat slightly melts the wax and creates a rich, buttery spread.
At breakfast: Drop a piece into a warm bowl of oatmeal or over Greek yogurt with fruit.
Straight up: Honestly, it’s amazing eaten right off the spoon as a natural, daily sweet treat!
Comb honey is harvested from our partner Duneland Beekeepers Club member, Yellow River Road Apiary in Laporte. Each honeycomb section is at least 9oz.
